Helping Hands Chiropractic Center
Helping Hands Chiropractic Center is a chiropractic rehabilitation facility in northwest Gainesville, Florida that has provided non-surgical pain relief and wellness care for over 40 years. Dr. Michael A. Faas graduated from Northwestern Chiropractic College in 1981 and established the practice in 1983, and after four years of postgraduate training he was awarded a Diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics in 1993. The office focuses on manual techniques and active therapy inside a care plan designed personally around each patient's condition and goals rather than a one size fits all approach. Chiropractors here use several styles of manipulation, including traditional manual adjustment, light force drop table work, and the Activator instrument, and the clinic also offers spinal decompression, therapeutic ultrasound, laser therapy, electro-muscle stimulation, rehabilitation, and corrective exercises. Massage therapists and exercise therapists work on-site alongside the chiropractors, with massage approaches that include neuromuscular and trigger point therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, Structural Energetic Therapy, sports massage, and deep tissue work. Conditions commonly treated include automobile and sports injuries, tendonitis and bursitis, pain in the extremities, numbness and tingling, radiating and nerve pain, TMJ pain, headaches and migraines, neck pain, sciatica, and disc pain. The practice is in network with many insurance plans, including Medicare, Auto Injury, Florida Blue State and Federal, United Health Care, and Worker's Comp, and offers time of service fees through ChiroHealth USA when coverage falls short. Scheduling is convenient and the office can often see patients the same day they call.
