Tactical Cleaning Co.
Tactical Cleaning Company is an industrial railcar cleaning operation that opened its doors in 2004 with a single shop in Commerce City, Colorado. From that original location the company has expanded to 12 full-time railcar cleaning operations, with shops sitting on the UPRR, BNSF, CSXT, CP, CN and NS railroads so customers can have railcars handled on most major rail lines without paying additional switch fees between the Class I railroads. Every car is cleaned to the level of being prepared for HM-216 requalification work, which means it comes back free and clear of any residual product and ready for tank entry and interior inspections. Each facility carries capabilities well beyond the cleaning process itself, including repairs, maintenance, sandblasting and flaring off railcars that have carried various commodities, and the company also offers tank trailer cleaning, inspections, transloading, remarking and air brake testing. Through an established network of short line railroads Tactical can arrange railcar storage, mobile repairs, and mobile railcar cleaning and blasting, and mobile crews are available to clean and blast cars on storage yards and at customer locations. Tactical takes a Safety First stand on all work performed at its shops and is committed to working safely and efficiently. In mid-2017 the company was purchased by a management and investor group led by Rail Partners Management Group, Seneca Partners and Uniprop, adding depth of management expertise and access to capital.
