Every visit follows the same criteria. In the kitchen, counters, appliances, the microwave inside and out, the kitchen table and barstools are wiped, kitchen flooring is hand washed, sinks are wiped, and dishes left in the sink can be loaded. Bathrooms are cleaned by hand from tile and shower corners to mirrors, with flooring hand washed. Dust is removed rather than pushed around from sills, ledges, counters, bookshelves, fans, doorknobs, mantles, picture frames, light fixtures and blinds, and window fingerprints are wiped where noticeable.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Will I get the same cleaning crew every time?
SPARKULOUS guarantees clients with a regularly scheduled recurring clean the same day, time and crew. The site lists caveats that can affect this, including prior client approval, crew sickness, crew member time off, client-initiated schedule modifications, weather delays, acts of god, and the employment status of a crew member.
How do you bill, and what payment methods do you take?
After the cleaning is complete you receive an emailed invoice with a payable link, and payment cards are accepted with no additional fees. You can opt in on your first invoice to have your card charged automatically in the future, and Venmo is also accepted. Invoices are due upon receipt. Payments not received after 7 days have a $35 charge attached to the original invoice, and at 30 days accounts are referred to a third-party provider.
What happens if I need to cancel or pause my cleaning?
Cancellations the day before are invoiced at 50% of the total scheduled clean, and same-day cancellations are invoiced at 75%, because SPARKULOUS still pays the cleaning crew. If you need to pause a regularly scheduled day and time, two consecutive cancellations release that slot to the waitlist, and the office will help you find a new day and time when you are ready to start back up.

Cleans scheduled for more than 8 hours require a 50% reservation deposit, weekend cleans must be at least 5 hours and require a 50% deposit, and event or evening cleans require a 50% deposit as well.
