Mt. Airy Chiropractic is the Germantown Avenue practice of Dr. Rachel Pawlikowski, a family wellness chiropractor in Philadelphia. The office states that it recognizes everyone is much more than the sum of his or her parts and honors the wholeness of the person across mind, body and spirit, with an aim of inspiring the community to trust the healer within and to live an integrated life. Adjustments are done by hand and are built around Bio-Geometric Integration, a gentle approach that uses the body's own geometry as a precise means of analyzing and adjusting for subluxations, and that assists the body to use physical, chemical and mental or emotional stress in a positive and productive manner instead of trying to eliminate or manage it. The practice describes the adjustment as unique to each person and based on your body's specific, individualized needs, with the focus placed on optimizing the health of your nerve system rather than on a list of ailments. Dr. Rachel earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services at St. Joseph's University, became initiated in Reiki, studied and practiced massage therapy, and went on to earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. She is Webster Technique certified for pre-natal chiropractic care and is also well versed in extremity adjusting, Network Spinal Analysis and Sacro-Occipital Technique, and she works with people of all ages. On a first visit she reviews your health history, completes a spinal exam and discusses your health goals. The office is an out of network provider and is happy to work with you to be directly reimbursed by your insurance company by providing super-bills on request. If care uncovers non-chiropractic or unusual findings, the practice will advise you and recommend that you seek the services of another healthcare provider.
