Schafer's Auto Center is a family owned and operated auto repair shop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that has served South Philly drivers since 1954. What began as a small garage rebuilding starters and alternators has grown into an 8,800 square foot facility on Columbus Boulevard with 7 full access bays and a full size heavy duty truck lift. The team is made up of ASE certified technicians, and owner Mike Schafer is himself a certified ASE Master Technician, so diagnosis and repair are handled by trained hands. The shop covers preventative maintenance and repair for cars and light trucks: oil changes, brake repair, state inspections, emissions testing, tire sales with mounting and balancing, timing belt replacement, alignments, air conditioning service, suspension work, transmissions, custom exhaust, engine repair, tune ups, and full system diagnostics. Most makes and models are welcome, domestic and foreign, and work on a vehicle still under factory warranty is performed without voiding that warranty. Repairs are backed by a lifetime warranty on parts and labor, financing is available, and discounts are offered to military, senior, and disabled customers. Schafer's Auto Center holds an A rating with the Better Business Bureau and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with walk-ins welcome.
