What is included in your hourly rate?
The hourly rate includes three polite, professional, and efficient movers who bring tools, wrap, and moving pads to disassemble, reassemble, and protect the items that need it. After the first two hours, time is rounded to the nearest quarter hour.
Can you supply boxes and pack my things?
Yes. Midas Movers can pack your boxes before the move, using either your boxes or ones supplied by the crew, and can also supply shrink wrap, paper, and tape. For a box delivery, give the team one to two days notice, and blank newspaper is included for wrapping delicate items such as dishes and vases.
Do I have to use your truck?
No. If you use the Midas Movers truck there is an additional one time truck fee, but the crew is happy to load and unload a vehicle that you provide at no additional cost.
How do I pay for my move?
A cash payment is due at the completion of your move. If you book more than one service, such as packing one day and moving the next, payment is due at the end of each service completed.
How does travel time work?
Travel time is applied when the estimated time from the Midas Movers office is 20 minutes or more to reach your load up destination or to get back from your unload destination. It is based on the hourly rate and rounded to the nearest quarter hour, and every customer always receives 20 minutes of free travel time.
Can you move a piano?
Yes, if it is an upright piano and it is being moved from a first floor to a first floor.
Do I need to arrange parking for moving day?
Securing parking in advance is advised if you feel parking will be limited on the day of your move. Display your placards 24 hours ahead with the times the space needs to stay clear, and note that the truck is 30 feet long when you fill out the permit information. Any parking tickets accrued while performing services for you are your responsibility and are settled at the end of the move.
