Simon's Detailing
Simon's Detailing, known as Simon's Shine Shop, is a Chicago auto detailing studio on West Shakespeare Avenue that opened in the spring of 2004. The shop covers interior detailing, exterior detailing, new car detailing, paintwork correction, ceramic coatings, paint protection film, window tinting and matte finish care, and it can build a custom package when a job does not fit a standard menu option. Interior work is handled with industrial vacuums, steamers and hot water extractors, while exterior work runs through multi stage snow foam prep washes, chemical and clay bar decontamination and machine buffing. Simon's uses Dr. Beasley's detailing products exclusively and serves as that brand's detailing studio, a line founder James Lafeber developed after opening the shop. Several technicians have been with Simon's for more than a decade, and inspections are carried out before and after each job. What is paintwork correction?
It is what people mean by buffing out scratches. Machines called buffers level out scratches and other defects in the protective clear coat, using different combinations of buffing pads and correction products depending on the severity of the defects and the softness of the paint.
Can you remove pet hair?
Yes. Simon's made its name on thorough pet hair removal. Ask the front desk about adding the service to your interior detailing package.
Can you remove odors from my interior?
Simon's can address a variety of odors using different removal methods based on how strong the smell is, including ozone treatments and Dr. Beasley's Neutra Scent spray.
How long does a detailing service take?
Services can take anywhere from one day to multiple days depending on the size of the vehicle and the condition it is in. Staff provide estimated service times based on those factors.
