PSL Health Center is a chiropractic and wellness practice at 1967 SE Port St Lucie Blvd in Port St. Lucie, which the office describes as centrally located on Port St Lucie Blvd near Hwy 1 and a short distance from Stuart and Jensen Beach. The practice calls its approach a full body approach to health, saying it looks at the body as a whole and offers a variety of services that work together in order to produce the best results. Its own comparison is direct: many offices focus on one symptom or offer only one or two services, while PSL Health Center says its team of providers aims to educate and correct any issues, put patients on a path to relief, and improve health and well-being. The wellness plans described on the site integrate chiropractic care, massage therapy, physical therapy, manual therapy, myofascial release, osteopathic medicine, regenerative medicine, functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, IV infusion therapy, pelvic floor physical therapy, aesthetics, body contouring, corrective laser treatments, hormone analysis and bloodwork analysis. Dr. George Blackwell leads the practice. The site says he did not start his career as a chiropractor but began as a personal trainer in a commercial gym, and that with his personal training certification and background in bio mechanics he was fascinated by the human body before a colleague studying chiropractic set him on the same path. He is described as a proud graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic who now works with patients ranging from pro athletes to people having trouble with basic mobility. The wider team listed on the site includes Dr. Natasha Jackson, Dr. Erin Shaw, Kellianne Greene, RN, and Lindsey Blackwell. On the practice culture, the site says patients will never be on a conveyer belt because the office commits its attention to one person at a time, and that there are no cookie cutter sessions, only customized sessions. Its stated mission is blunt: the office says it does not do things the way they are supposed to be done, it does them how they are most helpful for the patient. The practice also describes its history in the community, saying this location was created by the town's sheriff in the 1980s and continues to help the city's police, firemen and sheriff's department stay in good health. For new patients, the office asks that health history and any available imaging and blood work be ready to share, and says patients can come as they are for chiropractic sessions. It states that treatment is given on the first visit: after paperwork and vital signs, Dr. Blackwell takes an extensive health history followed by movement and posture observations, then discusses the findings and a care plan that may include physical therapy or massage therapy before the first chiropractic treatment. The site says the practice works to identify the root of the problem rather than just treat the symptoms, and that a wellness plan is then built with its chiropractors, therapists, doctors and other professionals. On payment, the administrator discusses cost with patients before the initial visit, and the office says it offers clear affordable pricing and multiple payment options including insurance, HSA, family plans, cash and all major credit cards. Conditions the site names include back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, joint stiffness, tightness, posture-related discomfort and other bio mechanical issues. The office says it helps people from all over the Treasure Coast including Jensen Beach, Stuart, Palm City, Hutchinson Island and Fort Pierce, and appointments can be requested by phone at (772) 335-3110 or through the contact form on its site.
