J.W. Detailing is a professional mobile detailing business founded and operated by John Wayne, based at 2017 S Wabash Ave in Chicago and bringing detailing work straight to the customer's doorstep across the greater Chicago area and surrounding suburbs. The site describes John Wayne as a professional detailer with over 10 years of experience specializing in high-end and performance vehicles, certified in paint correction and ceramic coating application, and traces the business back to his first job as a porter at a Volkswagen dealership. Every job is done on site, so the vehicle is transformed without the owner having to leave home. The work falls into three lines. Detailing packages start with the Full Service Detail, which pairs a pre-wash, a gentle contact wash, deep cleaning of wheels, trim and tires, paint decontamination with a clay bar if needed and a paint sealant with a full interior deep clean covering vacuuming, seat shampoo or leather cleaning and conditioning, headliner spot treatment, the trunk and spare tire area, and interior and exterior glass. It runs 3 to 6 hours and is priced at $300 for cars, $400 for SUVs and $500 for trucks. A 1 to 2 hour Maintenance Detail at $150 is reserved for vehicles under 3 months old or serviced with a Full Service Detail in the last 4 to 6 weeks. Paint correction comes as a 1 Step package listed at up to 60 percent correction with a 4 to 6 hour turnaround, and a 2 Step package that uses a cutting compound followed by a refining polish for up to 95 percent correction over a day or more. Both include an exterior detail, a clay bar and decontamination treatment, polished tail lights and a paint sealant listed at 6 months of durability. Ceramic coating is sold in three packages, all with a 1 to 2 day turnaround and an included warranty whose terms come from the detailer: the Ultimate Coating built on Crystal Serum Ultra and listed at 5 or more years of durability, the Pro-Coating built on Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and listed at 3 or more years, and a Gyeon Matte-Coating made for matte and satin finishes and listed at 2 or more years. Alongside those, J.W. Detailing offers aesthetic enhancement work including trim restoration, headlight restoration, PPF on headlights, engine bay detailing and specialty cosmetic services. Estimates are free, and quotes can be requested by phone, text, email or the form on the site.
