Zito Landscape Design
Zito Landscape Design is a family owned and operated boutique landscape design firm that has served South Florida since 1974. The firm is a full-service design practice, taking projects from conceptual drawings through to complete plantings and hardscape installations for both residential and commercial outdoor spaces. Its design philosophy emphasizes unity, proportion, balance, and sustainability, selecting tropical and sub-tropical varieties, colors, and textures that harmonize into an enduring and self-sustaining whole across contemporary, traditional, European, and Asian garden styles. Work includes walkways, water features, stone gardens, patios, pools, fountains, and lighting, along with ongoing maintenance programs once a garden is installed. The team is drawn from landscape architecture programs including Cornell University, the University of Florida, and Louisiana State University, and the firm holds memberships in the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Florida Native Plant Society. Its landscaping work has been featured on HGTV, in the Sun Sentinel, and in other media, and its projects range from private gardens to restaurants, corporate headquarters, and luxury brand properties.

FAQs
How long has Zito Landscape Design been in business?
The firm has been family owned and operated since 1974, designing landscapes across South Florida ever since.
Do you handle installation or only design?
Both. Zito Landscape Design is a full-service design firm, providing conceptual drawings through to complete plantings and hardscape installations.
What happens at the first meeting?
The team presents vivid, detailed renderings that show each plant type along with hardscapes, pools, fountains, and other ideas, so you get a clear perspective of the space. If something is not possible, the team will say so and then reproduce the vision you want as closely as possible.
What does your design process look like?
The process runs through four stages: discovery, which pairs a detailed consultation with a thorough site survey of soil, hydrology, and topography; design, which produces full-color renderings and a draft plan for feedback; installation, where the craftsmen execute the plan; and care, which covers the ongoing maintenance a garden needs.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. Alongside residential gardens, the firm designs landscapes for office buildings, retail stores, restaurants, corporate headquarters, and luxury brands.
What kinds of landscape features can you build?
Projects include walkways, water features, stone gardens, patios, pools, fountains, mulches, graded gravel, ornaments, and subtle lighting features that extend the use of a garden into the evening.
Can you maintain the garden after it is installed?
Yes. The team reviews your garden's maintenance needs with you, and most clients choose to have the firm run a regular maintenance program.
What design styles do you work in?
The firm offers modern, naturalistic, traditional, and Zen styles, and selects varieties for contemporary or traditional gardens in European or Asian, tropical or sub-tropical settings.
