How much does a local move cost?
Smooth Move People charges $140.00 an hour for two movers and a truck, with additional movers at $57.25 an hour. These are the lowest rates the Oregon Department of Transportation allows.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Smooth Move People is licensed and insured, and operates under ODOT Certification #001982 and USDOT #2097226.
Do you offer moving insurance or liability coverage?
Basic coverage is included at 60 cents per pound per item. Full value protection is also available at 85 cents per $100 of coverage with a $10,000 minimum, and it covers repair or replacement of damaged items.
Do you handle long distance moves?
Yes. Smooth Move People performs local moves, interstate moves, and cross country moves, and can handle a move anywhere in the continental United States.
Do you do packing as well as moving?
Yes. This is a full service moving company that will pack your belongings, load the truck, and place everything where you want it at the new location. The crew brings the tape, boxes, materials, and equipment, and can also work with supplies you already bought.
