Do you accept my insurance?
Seaport Spine is a preferred provider for Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, BMC, Cigna, Empire, Fallon, GIC, Harvard Pilgrim, Health Plans Inc, Mass General Brigham, MassHealth, Medicare, Meritain, Surest, UMR, UniCare, United, Wellsense and others. Special rates are available for Tufts, and the office can verify your insurance benefits for you.
What if I do not have health insurance?
Self-pay rates are published. A new chiropractic patient initial assessment is a one-time $50 exam fee, and a single chiropractic treatment session is $50. A D.O.T. physical exam is $79.

What happens on my first visit?
Your first visit can range between 15 and 30 minutes depending on your clinical presentation. An assessment is performed to arrive at a diagnosis and rule out red flags. For simple cases treatment may start right away, while complex cases may call for a more thorough evaluation, and treatment is then tailored to meet your specific health or performance goals.
What is the McGill Method?
The McGill Method is a practical approach to resolving chronic low back pain and a great next step for those who have failed to get results with first-line treatments, including chiropractic care, physical therapy and medical care. It was developed by back pain expert Dr. Stuart McGill. Dr. Ryan Hollien is a certified McGill Method practitioner. The rate is $120 per hour and the session is approximately 2.5 hours, plus about 1 hour of non face-to-face time billed at $120 that is waived when insurance is used.
Do you perform D.O.T. physical exams?
Yes. A D.O.T. physical exam is $79 and takes about 25 minutes, with special rates available for large companies and unions. Dr. Ryan Hollien is a Certified Medical Examiner, National Registry Number 9887260748. Same-day appointments are available, group appointments can be arranged during or after normal business hours, and you can inquire about having exams performed at your workplace. For these exams the office accepts cash, credit and company checks, and employers may set up a direct payment account.
Do you treat injuries from a car accident or a work injury?
Yes. Although serious injuries are unfortunately a common result of auto accidents, chiropractic care can provide a helping hand in the recovery process, and Dr. Ryan has many years of experience helping patients manage pain or discomfort following an accident.
