Is spinal decompression therapy painful?
For the vast majority of patients, treatment is completely painless for both cervical and lumbar decompression. On the Kennedy Spinal Decompression table patients are able to relax, and a considerable number actually fall asleep during sessions.
How many decompression sessions will I need?
Every patient has a treatment plan tailored to their condition. In general, treatment ranges from one to three months and may include anywhere from 10 to 24 visits, more frequently at the beginning and tapering off as the spine begins to stabilize. Most visits take about 30 minutes or less.
Do you take insurance?
The office works with Medicare and all major insurance companies, including Cigna, United, Humana, Aetna, and BCBS. A complimentary benefits check is performed before services are rendered so you know what coverage you may have. Medicaid and Tricare currently offer no coverage or reimbursement for this treatment.
What does the new patient special include?
The $100 New Patient Special evaluation includes a consultation, painless nerve testing, an ortho exam, X-rays if necessary, and a report of findings.
What does treatment cost?
Cost depends on the condition, how long symptoms have been present, and the severity of nerve or structural damage. A patient requiring rehabilitative care can expect treatment to range between $2,500 and $7,500 in total, with the vast majority of treatment plans falling somewhere in the middle. Interest-free financing options are offered for the portion of care insurance may not cover.
Do you perform DOT physicals?
Yes. The doctor is licensed by the State of Colorado to perform Department of Transportation physical exams and issue DOT Medical Examiner Certificates. The exam includes the certified DOT physical, visual acuity, hearing tests, urinalysis, and your medical card, and it takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Same day appointments may be available, but walk-ins are not accepted.
