How does your cabinet painting process work?
We remove all of the cabinet doors and take them to our spray shop, where they get a deep clean, any scuffs and dings repaired and filled, then primer and paint. While that happens our team cleans, preps and paints the frames still in your kitchen. In a couple of days the doors come back with the hardware, old or new, attached and ready to hang.
Why paint my cabinets instead of replacing them?
Cost is the obvious reason. Replacing cabinets can run upwards of $30,000, while repainting or refinishing costs a fraction of that and leaves your kitchen looking like the cabinets came out of the factory. It also keeps usable cabinets out of the dumpster, and we are in and out of your home in less than a week rather than weeks or months.
How long does a cabinet project take?
We are typically in and out of your home in less than a week. The doors are usually back in your kitchen a couple of days after we take them to the spray shop, and we do not create dust or force you to vacate part of your house for weeks.
Do you spray or brush exterior paint?
We leave the choice to you and offer the tried and true method of brushing and rolling. Spraying can seal over the grime left on a house, while brushing and rolling disturbs that residue so the paint penetrates, tacks up stronger and lasts longer.
What kind of paint do you use?
We have tested a wide range of products, from Benjamin Moore's Advance series to ChemCraft and from latex to lacquer, so we know what holds up. We use only the products that passed, and we do not mark them up.
