FAQs
What conditions do you treat?
The clinic treats neck and back pain, headaches, joint and muscle injuries, sports injuries in runners, cyclists and swimmers, whiplash symptoms, auto accident injuries, and workplace injuries.
Do you take insurance?
Portland Chiropractic is in network with many private insurance carriers, and many insurance companies will pay for massage. Medicare, Care Oregon, and the Oregon Health Plan are not accepted.
What happens at the first appointment?
The initial visit runs about one hour and covers health history, a movement assessment, orthopedic testing, and an explanation of the findings along with treatment recommendations. Follow-up visits are 20 to 30 minutes. Wear athletic or loose-fitting clothing.
Can you treat injuries from a car accident?
Yes. Under an Oregon auto policy, medical treatment resulting from an accident is covered by Personal Injury Protection, typically a minimum of 15,000 dollars and up to two years. The team can help open a new PIP claim and then bill the auto insurance directly, and can help determine coverage on an out-of-state policy.
Is a work injury covered?
If you work in Oregon or Washington and are injured while working, you are eligible for treatment covered by your employer's workers' compensation insurance. Common cases include neck and back sprains and strains, arm and leg sprains and strains, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches and concussions, and dislocations and separations.
What types of massage do you offer?
Massage options include myofascial and structural release, Swedish massage, structural integration, hot stones, deep tissue, sports massage, and gua sha. Massage can also be combined with a chiropractic visit.
