HotShots Automotive is a Centennial, Colorado auto repair shop that has operated from the same location since opening its doors in 2005, one mile south of Arapahoe Road on Jordan Road. The shop services all makes and models, from daily drivers to diesel, European, import, classic, custom and performance vehicles, and its ASE certified technicians handle engine, transmission, suspension and vehicle HVAC repair along with routine maintenance. Common work includes brakes, oil and filter changes, air conditioning service, batteries and charging systems, belts and hoses, cooling system and coolant service, exhaust and emissions, fuel systems, differentials, four wheel drive, wheel alignment, tires and TPMS coding and programming. Diagnosis is done with current scanning tools that read the OBDII engine management computer, with the technician then tracing the trouble code back to its underlying cause. Fleet customers are a core part of the business, and fleet accounts receive a 33-point visual inspection plus scheduled maintenance for each vehicle. Appointments can be booked online or by phone, and the shop is open Monday through Friday.

How do you diagnose a check engine light?
We scan the engine management computer for the trouble code, but that code is only the starting point. Our technician then tests further to find the underlying cause before recommending a repair.
