Hired Gun weed control was born on January 1st, 2004, when Joe Hatch decided to make his hobby a business. His son Elijah Hatch took the lead as CEO in 2010 and continues the family legacy of herbicide application services, adding several services to the portfolio along the way. The current lineup covers bareground weed control with sterilant mixes, selective weed control, mowing, pest control for mosquitoes, flies, spiders, mice, voles and gophers, prairie dog control, bird control, oil and gas weed management, aquatic herbicide applications, seeding by drill, broadcast or hydroseed, excavation, tree trimming and removal, snow removal, and GPS-guided aerial applications. The company invests in technology so customers can be involved with every step of the process, from mapping and selecting services to knowing exactly when and where a technician is going to arrive. Several of the bare-ground herbicide application services carry a year-round guarantee: if anything grows, the crew returns to kill it for free. Is there a guarantee on the herbicide work?
Several of the bare-ground herbicide application services come with a year-round guarantee. If anything grows within the application area, the crew will return to kill it for free.
Do you do site visits before quoting?
Generally no. Jobs are mapped online before technicians are sent out. Site visits are made for special circumstances, and those carry a non-refundable fee.
Do I need to be present during the application?
Yes. Being present verifies that everything has been correctly relayed to the technicians.
Do I need to mow anything down before you arrive?
Yes. Vegetation should be below 8 inches in height, and the mowing should be done days prior to the application. Hired Gun can also quote that task if you would rather have the crew handle it.
How long do animals need to stay off a treated area?
Until the area has dried.
