Hampden Dental Care is a dental practice on West Hampden Avenue in Lakewood, Colorado that has provided quality, comprehensive dental care since 1982. Dr. David Edlund and the team offer a full range of general, restorative and surgical dentistry, including composite fillings, amalgam removal, dental crowns and bridges, dentures and implant-supported dentures, dental implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, root canal treatment, tooth extractions, Snap-On Smile and smile makeovers. The practice uses CEREC technology to make a porcelain crown during a single visit, the Pinhole Surgical Technique for gum recession, and LANAP laser treatment for gum disease, supported by 3D digital imaging, digital 2D radiography, Nd-YAG laser periodontal therapy, Zeiss microscopy and CAD-CAM dentistry. Patients who do not enjoy going to the dentist can choose from nitrous oxide, oral sedation or IV sedation in private treatment rooms. Most major dental insurance plans are accepted, CareCredit 0% interest plans are available, and the office welcomes patients from Lakewood and the wider Denver metro area.

What are your office hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please call us at (303) 988-3800 for details.
Can I get a crown in one visit?
Yes. Using CEREC technology we can create your porcelain crown during a single visit to our office, rather than the two trips and dental lab wait a crown used to require. The CEREC scanner also makes a digital image of your teeth and mouth, so there is no messy impression material.
I get nervous at the dentist. What can you do to help?
We understand that many people do not enjoy going to the dentist. Along with private treatment rooms, we offer nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV sedation. Each is a form of conscious sedation, so you stay awake during your visit, and we review precautions and post-treatment instructions with you beforehand.
Do you take dental insurance?
We accept most major dental insurance plans, including most all PPO plans. Accepted providers include Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, Guardian, Humana, Anthem BCBS, United HealthCare, Principal Financial Group, Cigna Access Discount Plan, Dentemax and United Concordia, plus Medicare Part B for surgical procedures.
What if I cannot pay for treatment all at once?
You can pay by cash, check, credit or debit card at the time of treatment. To extend payments over a longer period we offer CareCredit with 0% interest plans. If an unexpected dental bill strains your finances, call us at 303-988-3800 and we can usually work out acceptable arrangements.
How do I get started as a new patient?
You can complete our new patient forms online, or download the dental history, medical history, patient questionnaire, missed appointment and HIPAA consent PDFs and send them back through the upload form on our New Patients page. What technology does the practice use?
Our office uses 3D digital imaging, digital 2D radiography, Nd-YAG laser periodontal therapy, Zeiss microscopy and CAD-CAM dentistry, along with CEREC same-day dentistry, the Pinhole Surgical Technique and LANAP laser treatment. We also offer L-PRF platelet therapy for patients needing oral surgery or extensive implant bone grafting.
