Gillum-Waddell Plumbing Co
Gillum-Waddell Plumbing, Co. Inc. has served Lakeland and Polk County since 1949, when Jesse Gillum purchased the company that would later carry both family names. The company handles residential and commercial plumbing work: general repairs, faucets and fixture replacements, leaks, replacing hot and cold water lines, complete repiping of water pipes, water heater replacement and repairs, sewer jetting and drain cleaning, and video camera sewer line inspection. Gillum-Waddell works with Kohler and American Standard fixtures along with Delta, Kohler and Moen faucets, and carries toilets, disposals, water heaters and walk in baths. The company also keeps a showroom at its Commerce Point Drive location in Lakeland, where a sales person helps customers choose fixtures for their home. Thomas A. Knapp Jr., who joined as an apprentice in 1986 and became Vice President and General Manager, purchased the company with his wife Sharon in February 2017.
