I’m not gonna lie, my hair was pretty awful when I came in and I had little hope I would be walking out with a redeemable hair color in the first round. Kayla took the time to really listen to my wants and work out an entire game plan for me, as a student I really appreciate how she was able to not only help me get the color I wanted physically, but cost effectively too. I can not rave more about the absolute quality, care, and time she put into my hair, making sure it was healthy every step of the way. I walked out with one of my favorite hair colors I’ve ever had and this was just our first session!! Will DEFINITELY be coming back to book with Kayla! Thank you SO much!!!

Riley was fantastic. She not only gave an excellent haircut but added some great conversation along the way. The combination made getting a haircut with Roots an enjoyable experience and eased any anxiety I had about coming in for the first time (just moved to Savannah). I plan to become a regular w her! Roots salon is such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I decided to go to Riley to have my blinding done and it was the best experience I’ve ever had in someone’s chair. She is not only the sweetest person, but also a hair EXPERT! I came in with an idea of what I wanted and I left with a boost of confidence🤍

Delia is a fabulous stylist (and person)! When I travel, I try to get my hair styled locally since I have difficult hair and don't want to deal with it when on vacation. Rarely do I find someone of such high caliber as Delia. She knew exactly how to 'tame my mane' and easily dealt with my clip-in extensions. My hair remained wavy and perfect for several days. Next time I'm in Savannah, I'll be back for another blow-out!

I had a pretty mixed experience here. The haircut itself was honestly really good, which is why I’m not leaving a 1-star review, but I was disappointed with the color service, especially for the price. I asked for a cooler brunette tone, but my hair came out a lot warmer/reddish than I wanted, and there was also a noticeable dark streak that made me have to come back to get it fixed. The appointment took around three hours, and I paid $440 with a master stylist, so I definitely expected a little more attention to detail and communication during the appointment. As someone with naturally dark Asian hair, I was definitely a little nervous about getting my hair colored to begin with, so after the streak issue and the color not turning out how I asked, I honestly lost confidence in continuing the correction process. The stylist did offer to keep correcting it, but instead of risking more processing and damage to my hair, I just asked to go back closer to my original dark color. Everyone was polite, and again, the haircut turned out nice, but personally I wouldn’t go back for color services.
