Southern Outdoor Design is a full service outdoor design and build firm in Atlanta. Landscape architects and designers create the vision and an install team brings it to life, with the company handling every step - design, permits, engineering, and construction - so homeowners never have to deal with multiple contractors. Projects include landscape design with 2D and 3D renderings, decks and porches, fences, fire pits and fireplaces, patios, playgrounds, pathways and stairs, shade structures, outdoor kitchens, open recreation areas, softscaping, retaining walls and pools. Founder and owner Jason Flake started his first landscaping company in high school and grew it into a design and build firm serving the metro Atlanta region. Southern Outdoor Design is a proud NALP member and offers a free on-site consultation. Its white-glove backyard renovation services are available in Metro-Atlanta, while its design and rendering services are available nationwide.

Do you charge for a consultation?
No. Southern Outdoor Design offers a free on-site consultation. The team meets you at your property to understand the outdoor experience you want for yourself, your family and your guests before any design work begins.
Do I need to hire separate contractors for my project?
No. Southern Outdoor Design handles every step - design, permits, engineering, and construction - and acts as your single point of contact, so you avoid dealing with multiple contractors.
What areas do you serve?
The white-glove backyard renovation services are available in Metro-Atlanta at this time, including neighborhoods such as Buckhead, Brookhaven, Decatur, Druid Hills, East Atlanta, Inman Park, Midtown, Sandy Springs, Smyrna, Tucker, Vinings and Virginia-Highland. Will I see a design before work starts?
Yes. The design team delivers 2D and 3D hand-crafted renderings, including top-down renderings to confirm everything fits, so you can be sure you love the vision and confirm what is included and what is not before installation begins.
What happens on install day?
Your project manager completes site prep, manages the installation, thoroughly vets all work and delivers a spotless handover. You can watch the vision come to life or simply stop by on deadline day.
What are your hours?
Southern Outdoor Design is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sunday.
Who runs Southern Outdoor Design?
