Foundation Chiropractic Clinic
Foundation Chiropractic Clinic is a chiropractic practice on N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach, run by Dr. Charles Mitzelfeld, known to his patients as Dr. Chuck, who established the practice in 1985 after graduating with honors as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College. The practice is built on the idea that building a firm foundation is the key to a healthy mind and body, and it works with patients on improved spinal health, exercise and proper eating habits so they can improve their overall health without the use of drugs. Alongside chiropractic care the clinic offers physical therapy, massage, DOT and sports physicals, and athletic training consultations. Conditions the practice helps with include auto accident injuries, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, neck pain, pinched nerve, pregnancy, sciatica, scoliosis, slipped disc, stress and whiplash. Adjusting approaches include Diversified, Thompson Terminal Point, Gonstead and Applied Kinesiology, chosen on clinical judgment, and patients who prefer to be adjusted a particular way are invited to say so. A first visit covers paperwork and x-rays and takes about 45 minutes to an hour, with a treatment plan developed on the second visit. The clinic tells patients in plain English what their situation is and refers them elsewhere when a problem is beyond the scope of chiropractic, and its stated goal is to get every patient back to optimum health in as short a time as possible rather than setting unnecessarily long treatment plans.
