Elsassers Lock & Key
Elsasser's Lock & Key is a locksmith shop at 1909 N. Monroe Street in Tallahassee, Florida, and describes itself as the most reliable 24/7 locksmith business in Tallahassee. The shop works with over 60 years of experience behind it, and states that its mission has remained the same: to provide unmatched service and allow its work to exceed all expectations of professionalism, integrity, and effectiveness. Personal and corporate jobs are treated the same way, from the smallest and easiest job to the most strenuous, with a stated focus on top quality work delivered in a timely manner. The counter takes walk-ins, and walk-in customers are charged only for the immediate key, service, or products they receive. Jobs include the cost of products and labor, and both are included on the invoice. Coverage is not limited to Tallahassee: the shop also takes jobs in most of the Big Bend area as well as some areas in Southwest Georgia. A 24/7 emergency number, 850-386-3390, is published for calls outside the posted counter hours. The business was owned and operated by Mike Cleary, who moved to Tallahassee with his family in 1991 and ran Elsasser's Lock & Key serving the greater Tallahassee area for over 30 years until he passed on April 9, 2024. The shop continues to be run by his family, with his original decor and FSU posters still on the wall. Payment is handled through Square, and the shop accepts all major cards, cash, checks, and Apple Pay.
