FAQs
Where is the dental office located?
The practice is at 1286 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. It is in northeast Tallahassee, close to the Thomasville Road exit off I-10 and across the street from Gilchrist Elementary School.
What are the office hours?
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:10am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:10am to 12:00pm. It is closed Saturday and Sunday. Call (850) 893-0711 to reach the office.
Can I get a crown in one visit?
Most of the time, yes. Using Cerec CAD-CAM technology the office scans the tooth digitally, designs the crown on screen, and mills it from a solid block of porcelain in 20 to 30 minutes, so there is no temporary crown and no second visit. On occasion a crown still needs to be sent to the lab to be fabricated.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes. The office gladly accepts all major indemnity dental insurance and many PPO type plans. Check with your insurance provider to confirm the practice is a provider for your particular plan. If you supply the needed information the office will estimate your benefits and submit your primary insurance, and you pay only the estimated co-payment at the time of service.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
The practice offers a Membership Savings Plan for patients without dental insurance. For an annual fee of $405 for anyone age 15 and older you receive two cleanings with doctor exams, one set of bitewing x-rays, the New Patient Exam if you are new, and one free emergency exam or office visit during the year. Basic services are 20% off, major services 10% off, and additional x-rays 50% off. Orthodontics is excluded and the plan is only for patients who do not have dental insurance.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. The office offers Cherry Payments and accepts CareCredit, both of which let qualified patients split treatment costs into monthly payments. Unless other arrangements are made in advance, payment is due at the time of service, and fees are discussed before treatment begins.
What should I do about a dental emergency?
The practice publishes emergency guidance for problems such as a toothache, a broken or knocked out tooth, and a cut lip or tongue. For a cracked tooth that is not painful you can call the office the next business day, and for a painful tooth or a knocked out permanent tooth you should call the office for emergency contact numbers. A possible broken jaw or bleeding that will not stop calls for an emergency room.
