FAQs
How long has Lowery Chiropractic been in Tallahassee?
Dr. Chris Lowery opened the practice in 2009 and has been treating patients in Tallahassee ever since.
What happens on my first visit?
The office follows a three step process. After your new patient paperwork is complete, Dr. Lowery greets you personally and brings you to the exam room, collects the history of your pain and conducts an exam to determine the problem, then begins treatment once the diagnosis is established.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. Lowery Chiropractic accepts most insurance and most plans cover chiropractic. Because plans and coverage options vary, the office copies your insurance card at your appointment to estimate what your plan will cover. If you are unsure whether the practice is in network, call the office at (850) 877-9150.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is expected at the time of service. The office accepts cash, checks, and debit cards, along with most major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
Will I need x-rays?
It depends on your case. It is not the office's policy to take films on every patient. In many cases Dr. Lowery can rule out enough red flags during the history and examination to begin a trial of adjustments, and he will discuss imaging if the expected improvement is not seen.
Can children and pregnant patients be treated?
Yes. The practice treats pediatric patients, including infants, and many expectant mothers report improvement in pregnancy related pain. Tell Dr. Lowery if you are pregnant as soon as possible so small changes can be made to the treatment plan.
What conditions does the office treat?
Common conditions include back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, TMJ and jaw pain, shoulder and knee pain, carpal tunnel, SI joint pain, colic in babies, pediatric ear infections, and injuries from car accidents, sports, and work.
How do I book an appointment?
Call the office at (850) 877-9150 or use the appointment request form on the practice website. New patients are welcome, and forms can be reviewed and completed ahead of your visit.
