What is the difference between paint protection film and a ceramic coating?
Paint protection film is the impact-resistant layer, protecting against rock chips, absorbing minute scratches, resisting swirl marks and using self healing technology. A ceramic coating is a hard sacrificial layer that creates a hydrophobic surface, keeps contaminants off the paint, adds gloss and eliminates the need for wax. The two work together.
How long until I can wash my car after a ceramic coating?
Detail Boutique advises clients to wait seven days after the coating has been installed before washing the car.
What does the paint protection film 10 year warranty cover?
XPEL warranties its product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ten years from the date of install, including yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delaminating. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, road debris impact, collisions or accidents.
Do you work on anything besides cars?
Yes. Aside from general detailing, Detail Boutique offers ceramic coating and paint protection services for boats, motorcycles and even helicopters, and recommends contacting the shop for a custom quote.
Can I book before I know my new car's delivery date?
