Dr. Karp's Wellness Center is a holistic and integrative medicine practice on Hollywood Blvd led by Dr. Drew Karp, DC, FIAMA, who has been practicing holistic and alternative medicine in South Florida for over 40 years. He is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia, and is certified in acupuncture and applied kinesiology. The practice is built around finding the underlying cause of a health problem instead of managing the symptom, and the approach is described on the site as personalized evaluation, a root-cause approach, and no guesswork. Care combines computer-assisted testing with hands-on clinical work. The Acugraph measures the energy traveling through the 12 main acupuncture meridians and prints a graph that guides which acupuncture points to treat, ZYTO nutritional testing reads how the organs and glands respond to gentle digital signals and identifies the whole food and herbal supplements the body needs, and computerized blood work runs a comprehensive blood test through Science Based Nutrition software to produce a detailed personalized report. Applied kinesiology is used throughout to verify and refine those findings. Dr. Karp is also the developer of BOCE Technology, a system built on balance, optimization, coherence, and enlivenment. Patients who cannot come into the office can be tested remotely by video chat with a mailed ZYTO hand cradle, and new patient forms can be downloaded or completed online before a first visit.

FAQs

Where is Dr. Karp's Wellness Center located?
The office is at 2419 Hollywood Blvd, Suite C, Hollywood, FL 33020. For an office consultation you can call (954) 771-5600.
What is applied kinesiology?
It is a clinical system for communicating with the body through its own non-verbal bio-energetic language. It shows how the body is functioning in real time and helps reveal underlying imbalances, stress patterns, and root causes rather than focusing only on the symptom.
What does the Acugraph do?
The Acugraph is a non-invasive, painless computerized program that measures the energy traveling through your 12 main acupuncture meridians and prints a bar graph of the results. That graph guides Dr. Karp to the acupuncture points that need treatment.
How does ZYTO nutritional testing work?
You rest your hand on the ZYTO cradle while the software sends gentle, non-toxic digital signals and measures how your body responds, for roughly 6 to 7 minutes. It then scans a professional-grade library of whole food and herbal supplements and identifies the ones that best support balance and function. A second scan evaluates how your body responds to various foods.
How often should ZYTO testing be repeated?
For most patients, testing every 3 months produces the best results. That is typically how long the body needs to respond, adapt, and begin making meaningful functional changes, and each scan helps guide the next phase of support.
What does the computerized blood work cost and include?
The fee for the comprehensive blood test is $300, a preferred rate available through Dr. Karp's participation in a national network of integrative physicians. It includes his personal evaluation of your report, testing to determine which supplements will be most effective and in what dosage, a detailed email outlining the findings and recommendations, and a follow-up call to review your program. Recommended nutritional supplements are additional.
Can I be seen remotely?
Yes. The practice works with patients online through video chat apps such as FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype, and Google Duo. A ZYTO hand cradle is mailed to you, you plug it into your computer, and the same testing done at the wellness center is run remotely before a video chat to go over the results.
What should I do before my first visit?
You can download and print the New Patient Questionnaire and Informed Consent ahead of time, or fill them out on the website. To set up an appointment, call the office at (954) 771-5600 or use one of the contact forms on the site.
