Gator Air & Energy is a family owned HVAC company that has served Gainesville, Florida since University of Florida graduate Chuck Larsen incorporated it in 2009. The team handles air conditioning repair, HVAC installation and maintenance, heat pump work, heating and furnace service, commercial HVAC, air duct cleaning and sealing, ductless mini-splits, and indoor air quality services for homes and businesses across the Gainesville area, and it also offers 24/7 emergency AC repair. The company began by working exclusively for GRU as a private contractor in the Low Income Energy Improvement Program, installing energy-saving HVAC units and performing duct sealing for low-income households before expanding its services. In 2010 it became Gainesville's only RESNET Certified EnergySmart HVAC contractor, and its contractors take a whole-home approach by inspecting the entire house and unit on every air conditioning service call to find ways to cut energy use and utility costs. Gator Air & Energy is a member of the Builder's Association of North Central Florida and the U.S. Green Building Council Heart of Florida Chapter, recycles all cardboard, mercury, and scrap metal, and uses products made in America and distributed locally when possible.
