FAQs
What is included in the hourly rate?
The hourly rate covers 2 or more trained and vetted movers, a fully equipped moving truck and gas inside the free service area, loading and unloading, assembly and disassembly of standard furniture, taxes and standard insurance, $2,000 damage coverage, and wraps, pads, and protection equipment at no extra cost.
What happens if the movers are late?
Einstein commits to an arrival window of 2 hours or less. If that window is missed you get a discount that grows the longer you wait, which the company calls its On-Time Guarantee.
What does the $2,000 damage coverage cover?
It applies to damage caused by the crew on items they pack and transport in their own truck. Exceptions include particle board furniture, which is covered at 60 cents per pound, owner-packed boxes, appliance disconnection and reconnection, attic items, and moves using PODs or rental trucks.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards are accepted. Cash and checks are not accepted, though companies paying by check for an office move can contact the office ahead of time to confirm.
Do you handle long distance moves?
Yes. Long distance moves are handled anywhere within Texas, and any move outside your immediate metro area counts as long distance. Booking at least 2 to 4 weeks ahead is recommended, especially in busy summer and end of month periods.
How long does a move in San Antonio take?
Moves in San Antonio run either 2.5 hours minimum or about 7 hours on average. The actual time depends on the size of the home, the distance, and the number of stops, and you get a realistic estimate upfront.
Are there items you cannot move?
Items over 400 lbs cannot be moved except in certain cases. Grand and baby grand pianos are not moved, upright pianos are moved only when no stairwells are involved, and pool tables require disassembly with the slates removed. Vehicle transport, perishables, weapons, explosives, and flammable liquids are also excluded.
Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Crews arrive with fully stocked tool bags and handle disassembly such as removing mirrors from dressers, taking apart beds, and removing table legs, then reassemble everything at the destination. These services are included in the hourly rate.
