A crucial part of your dental appointment is a comprehensive dental exam. It can give dentists a better idea of the state of your oral health. Whether you've never had a dental exam before or it's been a while, here's what you need to know about receiving a teeth exam.
Dental cleanings
The health of your teeth rests on your ability to keep them clean as well as the experience of the dental office charged with cleaning them. Using our dental cleaning services in Seattle, WA, can help ensure your teeth remain healthy and functional. Here's what you need to know about our cleaning services.
Dental fillings
When teeth aren't properly maintained, they will eventually start to decay, which can lead to cavities, gum disease, and other serious health conditions. It's also possible for teeth to become broken or damaged for any number of reasons. This is a common occurrence in contact sports and isn't always easy to avoid. In these situations, there are several treatments at your disposal, the primary of which involves dental fillings
Preventive dentistry
Prevention is key when it comes to keeping your teeth clean and healthy. Preventive dentistry is the name for the practice of taking good care of your teeth, keeping them sparkling. This involves treatment, education, and maintenance of your gums and teeth.
Bad breath
Bad breath, or halitosis, is certainly unpleasant and can be embarrassing.
I always have a great experience at this dental office. The entire team is friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. My dental hygienist, Crissa, is incredibly thorough and makes every visit comfortable and pleasant. Dr. Bridget Singh is professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. I highly recommend this practice and look forward to continuing my care here.

I had such a great experience at this office for my dental cleaning. My hygienist, Carissa, was absolutely amazing. She was gentle, thorough, and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time. She explained everything she was doing and was very attentive to my comfort, which I really appreciated. My teeth felt incredibly clean afterward, and the whole visit was smooth and positive. Highly recommend this office and especially Carissa.

This dentist office is great! Been coming here since 2021. Staff are super friendly and professional. Their cleaning rooms are comfortable and they have TVs and will put on Netflix if you want. I'd never seen that before. They're great to text appointment reminders and are always flexible to change and will even call if there's an opportunity to come earlier. Parking is tricky but I just park at Amazon garages and walk over (Doppler has two hours guest parking and very close). All around very happy and would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist!

First dentist experience in the US and it's been great overall. Scheduling via zocdoc was efficient, the team reached out before and asked great initial questions. I came early and had everything done super quick. Assistants are super nice as well as Dr. Singh. Equipment is top notch and modern. Great communication and great proposed treatment plan. 100% will come here again.

What happens during my first visit?
We will conduct a thorough examination on your first visit to determine the best course of action to achieve dental health and your goals. We will:
Take full mouth x-rays to identify any current problems and to use as a baseline on future visits to detect early signs of problems.
Assess gum condition and health.
Examine teeth for cavities and condition of old dental restorations.
Perform a head and neck exam, including salivary glands and lymph nodes, for swelling or other abnormalities.
Screen for oral cancer and TMJ (jaw joint).
Clean and polish your teeth.
Why do I need to discuss my medical conditions with the dentist?
Many health conditions are indicated in the mouth and can affect oral health, so your medical information is very important in diagnosing issues with your teeth, gums, and mouth.
How often do fillings need to be replaced?
Fillings can last for many years, but over time they wear down, discolor, crack and sometimes fall out. Early detection of problems with fillings can help you avoid getting cavities under the filling and causing more serious decay. Let us know if you’re experiencing any pain. We’ll check your fillings at every visit to determine if any need to be replaced.
Are xrays necessary?
Absolutely. Dental xrays are essential, preventative, diagnostic tools. Many oral conditions occur between teeth or under the gums or bones, undetectable by the human eye, and may have no early signs or symptoms. Left untreated, these conditions can create serious dental and general health problems, including loss of teeth and heart problems. Early detection with xrays can make treatment much less painful, faster, and less expensive. The American Dental Association recommends getting a full series every three years.
