How do I schedule a move?
You can reach out by phone call, text or email, or complete the Moving Inquiry Form. A representative will then verify the details of your move, provide an individualised quote and confirm your reservation.
How far in advance should I book?
It depends on when you are moving. If you plan to move between April and September, or at the beginning or end of any month, Dallas Area Movers recommends reaching out 2 to 6 weeks before your scheduled move, as those are the busiest times.
Do you charge by the hour or a flat rate?
Moves are priced at an hourly rate with an hourly minimum. The only additional charges are a flat rate travel fee, discussed when you book, and an appliance fee where it applies.
What is included in the hourly rate?
The hourly rate includes labor for the recommended number of movers, which is 2, 3 or 4 depending on your move, as well as all necessary furniture pads, plastic wrap, tools, supplies and doorway and floor protection at no additional cost.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash or Zelle are preferred, and Venmo, PayPal, Square and all major debit and credit cards are also accepted, with a small added processing fee. Checks and money orders are not accepted, and full payment is due immediately following the move.
Can the movers disassemble and reassemble my furniture?
Yes. The crew can disassemble and reassemble all necessary furniture, including bed frames and tables, at no additional cost. Be aware that this adds time to the move, which increases the overall cost.
