Cross Timbers Chiropractic is a chiropractic office in San Antonio TX led by Dr. Karson Foster, DC, who grew up north of Dallas in a family of chiropractors and moved to San Antonio after graduating from Parker University. The practice believes in a drug-free approach to healthcare, using hands-on adjustments to remove nerve interference and support the body's own ability to heal. Dr. Foster works with patients of every age, from newborns to people over 100, including athletes, office workers, manual laborers, and expectant mothers, and sees concerns such as back and neck pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, scoliosis, disc and sports injuries, whiplash, work injuries, carpal tunnel, vertigo, and neuropathy. A first visit covers a consultation, x-rays if they are needed, a comprehensive exam, and an adjustment, followed by a report of findings and a personalized treatment plan. Chiropractic Assistant Jordan Foster, CA rounds out the team, and the office gladly accepts most health insurance while also welcoming cash-paying patients with flexible payment plans.

Why choose us?

Drug-free approach

Cross Timbers Chiropractic believes in a drug-free approach to healthcare, using a natural, noninvasive method to remove the obstacles keeping your body from operating at full capacity.

Care for every age

The practice serves patients from newborns to people over 100, and Dr. Foster specializes in specific adjustments that are safe and effective for all ages and conditions.

Adjustment on your first visit

As long as your x-rays and exam check out, Dr. Foster gives you your first adjustment during that first appointment instead of sending you home to wait.

Personalized treatment plan

After reviewing your x-rays and exam, Dr. Foster builds a treatment plan around your case and presents it at a follow-up visit that typically happens within a day or two.

Insurance and flexible payment

The office gladly accepts most health insurance and helps you take full advantage of your coverage. Cash-paying patients are welcome, with affordable rates and flexible payment plans.

Gentle techniques available

Some patients would rather skip the popping sound, so the team can use gentle techniques that do not produce a noise during the adjustment.

FAQs

What happens during a first visit?
Your first visit starts with a consultation, where Dr. Foster goes over your paperwork and talks through your symptoms to determine whether chiropractic is a good fit for your case. If he deems them necessary, x-rays come next, followed by a full comprehensive chiropractic exam. As long as everything checks out, you receive your first adjustment that same visit. Bring a copy of your ID and your insurance card if you have one.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Cross Timbers Chiropractic gladly accepts most health insurance and will work with you to take full advantage of your coverage, and the office is currently in the credentialing process with all the major insurance carriers. Cash-paying patients are welcome as well, with affordable rates and flexible payment plans.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Chiropractic care for kids is one of the practice's services, and the office sees patients of every age starting with newborns. Care for children can help with concerns such as acid reflux, allergies and sinus issues, asthma, bed wetting, ear aches, and scoliosis.
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
The practice considers it not only safe but also recommended. Pregnancy brings significant change and stress to the body, and chiropractic care can help the body adapt, ease common pregnancy symptoms, and make sure the lower back and pelvis are functioning correctly ahead of labor and delivery.
What conditions do you help with?
Care covers back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, scoliosis, disc injuries, sports injuries, whiplash, work injuries, arm and leg pain, carpal tunnel, shoulder pain, neuropathy, PMS, pregnancy, TMJ, and vertigo. If you are dealing with something that is not on the list, let the team know and they will tell you whether chiropractic can help.
Do adjustments have to make a popping sound?
No. The popping sound is caused by nitrogen being released and moving around the joint, and the noise itself does not actually mean anything. Some patients make no noise at all, and gentle techniques that do not produce a noise are available for patients who prefer that.
How many chiropractic sessions will I need?
That is worked out together. The first visit includes a consultation, exam, x-rays if needed, and a light adjustment, which lets the team find out what is wrong, how long it has been there, and what it will take to correct it. Care generally starts out more frequent and tapers off as the condition is corrected and stabilized.
What are your office hours?
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 1:00pm and again from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. It is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Call (726) 245-2210 to request an appointment.
