Knockout Junk is a family owned and operated junk removal business based out of Castle Rock, Colorado. Scott and Audra Brown bought the company in 2019, and after a move in 2025 the business was bought by Brad and Jen Mahoney of Castle Rock. KOJ has always had great pride in customer service, a fast easy process and competitive pricing, and the current owners say those things remain the core of the company. Both Mahoneys are active in the community and in supporting other local businesses. The crew takes jobs of all sizes, from single items to full trailer loads, whether a customer is doing some spring cleaning, preparing to move, cleaning up the yard or working through a remodeling project. The process the company describes is simple, straight forward and affordable, and it runs in four steps. First, a customer contacts Knockout Junk and requests a quote for whatever needs to be hauled away, including the zip code, what needs to go, and details such as where the items are being removed from, for example the garage or the third floor of a home. The team may also ask for a quick photo of the items so the quote is accurate. Second comes pricing: Knockout Junk quotes a flat rate that includes everything, with no surprise fees, fuel charges or labor rates. Junk piles, remodeling debris and miscellaneous loads are charged by volume, which is where a photo of the load before the crew arrives really helps. Third, the customer gives the final green light on the quote and the job goes on the calendar at the soonest available time, with the majority of time slots on weekdays and limited weekend options. Fourth is pickup, when the team arrives to knock out the junk, and the company describes its crew as fast, reliable and ready. Everything picked up is properly disposed of, recycled or donated. Items the team can take include mattresses, TVs, furniture, appliances, clothing, toys, pianos, tires, exercise equipment, auto scraps, remodel debris, lumber, grills, lawn equipment, carpet, flooring and electronics. For safety reasons a short list is off limits, including hazardous waste such as fuel and oil, food waste, tanks such as propane, gas and oxygen, excrement and manure, and sealed drums. Knockout Junk offers junk removal for all of Douglas County, Colorado, which includes Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Franktown, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Sedalia and Larkspur, and service is also offered for parts of Centennial, Monument, Elizabeth, Littleton, Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. The company was voted a Colorado 2022 Best of the Best winner for Castle Rock and Castle Pines trash service. Customers can call or text to get started.
