Weld Family Clinic of Chiropractic is a chiropractic office in west Greeley, Colorado, at 1713 61st Ave, Suite 102. The clinic is owned by husband and wife Dr. Erik Sorbo, DC and Dr. Patricia Sorbo, DC, DICCP, and states its mission this way: healthy families are the foundation of a healthy community, and the practice is committed to educating and inspiring individuals and families to cultivate health and healing throughout their lives. The office says it is committed to serving and inspiring its community to take ownership of their health, that it believes in building relationships based on honesty, integrity and compassion, and that it will always take the time to listen, to explain and to offer hope. Both doctors earned their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Erik graduated Magna Cum Laude, was inducted into the international chiropractic honor society, has completed two postgraduate seminars on extremity adjusting and a 120 hour postgraduate certification in sports chiropractic, and focuses on the spine and nervous system while also treating many extremity issues. He serves on the International Chiropractors Association Representative Assembly for the state of Colorado. Dr. Patricia graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2003 as a Presidential Scholar and received the Clinical Excellence award. She holds a Diplomate in Pre-Natal and Pediatric Chiropractic through three years of study with the International Chiropractic Association, and the site states she has been one of only five chiropractors in Colorado since 2008 with a Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics through the Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics. She is certified in Webster Technique, a specific technique used to balance the sacrum and pelvis in a pregnant patient, is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, serves on the board of directors for the ICA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics, and received the 2022 Health Advocate award for the Friends of a Woman's Place Outstanding Women of Weld County. The clinic provides care for patients of all ages, from infants to grandparents, and tailors care plans to each family member. Services include chiropractic adjustments, pediatric care, prenatal care using the Webster Technique, low-level laser therapy, sports therapy and SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Technologies, which the office states it was the first practice in Greeley to offer. Massage therapy is available on site through AJ Sisneros, an independent massage therapist with Mobility Massage Therapy who works alongside the chiropractors. A first visit takes roughly 30 to 90 minutes and includes a tour of the wellness center, a short video, a consultation covering health history and wellness goals, state-of-the-art neurological scans and tests of spinal movement. On the second visit, which takes about 30 minutes, the doctor reviews the COREScore and other findings and gives care recommendations, and the first adjustment is delivered then if the patient chooses to begin care. The office re-scans for a new COREScore after every 12 adjustments so progress can be tracked. The clinic states it has no contracts and no obligation to start or continue with care, that a care plan can be changed or cancelled at any time, and that it offers a wide range of very affordable care plans for individuals and families. It states it accepts many insurance plans and is happy to help patients verify coverage and discuss affordable options. New patient intake forms are available online, and the office asks patients who prefer paperwork in the office to arrive 30 minutes early. The clinic also runs a Health Pass referral program and a Patient Referral Reward Program, holds monthly wellness workshops, and maintains a lending library of books for patients.
