Caven Dental Group is a dental practice on R G Skinner Parkway in Jacksonville, Florida, led by Dr. Richard Caven, Dr. Shelby Denman and Dr. Logan Marks. Dr. Richard Chace Caven is a fifth generation Florida dentist, and the family behind the practice has served patients for over 160 years. The team provides general dentistry including routine check-ups, cleanings and preventive care, plus cosmetic dentistry such as teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, digital smile design and complete smile makeovers. Restorative treatment covers fillings, crowns, CEREC same-day crowns and dental implants for one or several missing teeth. Clear aligner therapy straightens teeth discreetly, custom oral appliances treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, and Botox and Juvederm facial rejuvenation is offered alongside dental care. Sedation dentistry ranges from mild sedation to deeper relaxation for anxious patients, and comfort amenities include hot towels, blankets, neck pillows, headphones, TVs in treatment rooms and a coffee and tea bar. The office accepts all major PPO insurance plans and files claims on the patient's behalf, offers an in-house membership discount plan through Kleer for uninsured patients, and provides third-party financing through CareCredit.

What are your office hours?
We are open Monday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

New patients can complete our new patient forms online through our secure portal link before arriving. Filling them out ahead of time streamlines check in and minimizes wait times.

We offer sedation dentistry ranging from mild sedation to deeper relaxation techniques for patients of all ages. Our comfort amenities also include hot towels, blankets, neck pillows, headphones, calming music and TVs in the treatment rooms.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes. We accept all major PPO insurance plans and will file claims on your behalf to maximize your benefits. We are happy to help you understand the financial side of your treatment.
What options do I have if I do not have dental insurance?
We offer an in-house membership discount plan through Kleer for uninsured patients, with savings on preventive and corrective treatments. Third-party financing through CareCredit is also available, and our Patient Facilitator can tailor a payment arrangement to your budget.
Can you replace missing teeth?
Yes. Our restorative and implant dentistry services cover fillings, crowns, CEREC same-day crowns and dental implants. Whether you are missing one tooth or several, we build a personalized plan to restore the look and function of your smile.
Do you offer treatment for snoring or sleep apnea?
We do. Snoring can be a symptom of obstructive sleep apnea, and we provide custom oral appliances that keep your airway open during sleep to reduce complications related to the condition.
