What is the difference between wax and ceramic coating?
Wax lasts a few weeks. Ceramic coating bonds to your paint for years. It resists scratches, stains, and UV damage, plus water beads right off, so there is less upkeep and better protection.
Which is better, ceramic coating or PPF?
PPF provides physical protection against chips and scratches, while ceramic coating offers easier cleaning and UV protection. Many customers choose PPF on high-impact areas and ceramic everywhere else, and the two can be combined with ceramic applied on top of the film.
How long does paint protection film last?
XPEL paint protection film lasts 7 to 10 years with proper care. It is self-healing, removable, and comes with a manufacturer warranty.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?
If your paint has swirl marks, dull spots, or light scratches, Nor Bay recommends at least a one-step polish before applying ceramic. Coatings lock in whatever is underneath, so the aim is a clean, corrected surface first.
How long does detailing take?
A complete detail typically takes 4 to 6 hours depending on your vehicle's size and condition, and the express maintenance package takes about 2 hours. Time estimates are provided when booking.
Do you offer same-day service?
Nor Bay can often accommodate same-day appointments in San Jose and surrounding areas, depending on schedule availability. Booking 1 to 2 days in advance is recommended for best results.
