My old AquaUltraviolet UV light stopped working after 20 years…they make great product that lasted a long time. Ordered a new 40W UV light to replace and it works great. Same quality and workmanship that matching their reputation. My pond is so clear that I can see the bottom!

Exceptional Customer Service and Product Longevity I cannot recommend Aqua Ultraviolet in Temecula enough. I have been using one of their ultraviolet filter units for my Koi pond since 2006, and it has been a staple of my filtration system for nearly two decades. Recently, the unit suffered a major electrical failure due to a transformer issue that unfortunately "fried" the entire system. Not knowing exactly what had gone wrong or how to identify a replacement for such an old model, I reached out to the company. I only had the serial number to go on, but that was all they needed to provide world-class support. I was connected with a technician named Jay, who was absolutely phenomenal. Jay took the time to call me back and asked a series of targeted, polite questions to diagnose the failure. Using only my serial number, he was able to pull up the exact specifications of my 2006 model and discuss the best modern replacements. What truly set this experience apart was Jay’s proactive helpfulness. He walked me through the purchase options and mentioned a significant discount that was set to expire the very next day. He didn’t have to offer that information, but he went above and beyond to ensure I got the best deal possible. He stayed on the line to guide me through the website and the checkout process, ensuring the discount code was applied correctly. In the end, Jay saved me both a tremendous amount of time and approximately $300. It is rare to find a company that supports a product nearly 20 years old with such expertise and genuine care for the customer’s wallet. Between the long-term reliability of their filters and the stellar support from technicians like Jay, Aqua Ultraviolet has earned a customer for life. If you are looking for high-quality pond equipment backed by a team that actually cares, look no further.

I bought a Classic 25 Watt through an Amazon marketplace seller and emailed Aqua Ultraviolet to confirm the warranty before setting it up. Katherine replied on a Sunday — well outside their Mon–Thu hours — confirmed the seller wasn't authorized, and had the team look into the serial number first thing Monday. Jay then called me, explained exactly where I stood, and helped me order directly from Aqua UV for less than I'd paid the unauthorized third-party seller — a factory-fresh unit with a valid warranty, cheaper. Jay also sent along the part links for the replacement lamp and quartz sleeve so I'd have them down the road. Fast, straight answers and no runaround on a question that could easily have been ignored. Very impressed.

FAQs

What size UV sterilizer do I need?
It depends on your water volume, flow rate, and water clarity, not wattage alone. Check the manufacturer’s recommended flow rate for each model, and choose a unit rated for at least the flow your pump delivers through it.
How often should I replace the UV lamp?
UV lamps lose output over time even if they still light up. Many manufacturers recommend replacing them about once a year, but check the guidance for your specific model.
Can a UV sterilizer clear cloudy water?
It can help with free-floating algae that turn water green, but it won’t remove cloudiness caused by debris or dissolved waste. Mechanical filtration and good maintenance still matter.
