FAQs

What is Novastart?
Novastart is an infinite canvas operating system where every desktop app is a window on one endless canvas. You zoom in to work and zoom out to strategize, and saved canvases remember every app, position and tab.
How do I get it?
You can download the app for Windows or Mac, or install the OS from a USB drive. The install page at novastart.com/install walks through both options step by step.
Can I try it before I change my computer?
Yes. The app runs the whole thing in a window on the computer you already have, free to start. If you like it, you can install the OS any time.
What do the plans cost?
There is a Free plan limited to 1 folder, 2 canvases and 4 windows. Pro is $10 per month and Team is $20 per month, both with unlimited folders, canvases and windows. AI Agents run at $0.02 per use, with credits from $25.
How many AI agents can I run at once?
Up to 16 agents on one canvas, and each can recruit up to ten sub-agents of its own. The OS gives a window to one agent at a time so they never collide, and their windows stay in a tidy grid beside yours.
Does it work with the apps I use?
Yes. Gmail, Excel, WhatsApp, Notion and thirty more open as real windows signed in as you. Anything else opens in bundled Chrome, and agents work through the same clicks and keys you would use.
What happens when I restart my computer?
Nothing is lost. Agents keep your preferences, and they and their conversations are restored after a reboot, so you pick a job back up where you left it.
How can I get in touch?
You can call us at (818) 334-4798 or email support@novastart.com. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and the install page is at novastart.com/install.
