Bold Move is a locally and veteran owned moving company based in Portland, Oregon. Owner Sam Luby formed the company in 2012 after more than ten years in the moving industry and a six year enlistment in the US Air Force. The team handles local Portland moves charged by the hour, long distance moves to seven western states, and full service packing for spaces from a small studio up to large homes. All movers are licensed and insured, undergo a background check, and are covered under workers comp. No deposit is required to book a move.

How does Bold Move price local moves?
Local Portland moves are charged by the hour, with the rate based on the size of the move: $187.30 per hour for a tiny move, $259.95 per hour for an average move, $325.20 per hour for a big move, and $447.25 per hour for a huge move. Weekdays have a 2 hour minimum and weekends and holidays have a 5 hour minimum. Calculations are based on average move times and are not guaranteed, so call for a more accurate quote.
Do you require a deposit?
No. Bold Move does not require a deposit, so if things change you will not be held to the booking.
What is included with a move?
All moves include truck and crew, tools, plastic wrap for breakdown and set up, home and furniture protection, and 7 free wardrobe boxes. Extra boxes, mattress covers, soft crates, and similar supplies are offered a la carte.
Do you handle long distance moves?
