Bert's Gene Brown Transmission is a family owned and operated auto repair shop on Old Perrin Beitel Road in San Antonio, Texas. The shop started in 1992 and has been in business for over 30 years serving the Greater San Antonio area with a team of experienced technicians. Transmission repair, rebuilds, replacements and diagnostics are the specialty, alongside brakes, tune-ups, engine and cooling system work, suspension repairs, oil and fluid changes, and used car pre-purchase inspections. Towing is available, most extended warranty service contracts are accepted, and fleet customers are welcome. Several complimentary checks and scans are offered, and Se Habla Espanol.

What transmission services do you offer?
We handle transmission repair, rebuilds, replacements, inspections, maintenance services and transmission diagnostics. Clutch repair is also available.
Do you work on anything besides transmissions?
Yes. We provide total automotive and transmission repair, including brake services, tune-ups, timing belt replacements, oil and fluid changes, cooling system and radiator repairs, check engine diagnostics, engine services, suspension repairs, charging system repairs, factory maintenance and used car pre-purchase inspections.
Do you offer any free services?
We offer a free transmission external diagnostic with computer scan, a free performance check, a free AC performance check, a free brake inspection and a free check engine light scan. Call us for details on other discounts.
What are your hours?
The shop is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed Saturday and Sunday. We are also available 7 days a week after hours by phone and text at 210-365-9479.
