Cat grooming

Cats are not small dogs, and we do not treat them like it. This is quiet, gentle, patient work: a bath, de-matting, sanitary and comfort trims, nail caps on request, and lion cuts for the cats who need one. We book cats into quiet slots so the room stays calm.

I loved going here because of Misaki. She is the best groomer. My last visit they informed me when I picked up my dog that the new amount was $90.00. This was almost a $10.00 increase with no notice. I will not be going back there. After being a customer for a long time you would think they would have let you know at the time I made my appointment.

I took my Theodore (Golden retriever) I was skeptical just due to him never having been to a groomer and having heard horror stories. But they did amazing. He was trimmed just how they explained his tail and flooff was all brushed out and he smelt good, he was completely soft. Also completely shed free. They were super sweet and understanding and was able to get him in quickly for the groom. He seems like he enjoyed his time with them and what I was quoted was exactly what I paid. For be a first time skeptical dog mom. I was extremely happy with the service. I attached some photos of the trim, he was exactly as I had hoped he would come out.

First experience here with my pup...he walked out looking like a show dog. In fact told several others about my positive experience. Second visit could not have gone worse. Cut was less than satisfactory. His coat feels coarse and not soft like it should after a typical groom. He was wet when I picked him up. The worst part...they shaved too close in his bottom area thus it was bright pink and causing great discomfort and a visit to my vet to get medication. Also they trimmed or did omething to his hind foot because he has been ontinually licking it. Nail trims are supposed to be a part of the groom charge. His nails were not done. I paid $200 for this. Steer clear of this place. Incredibly frustrated and disheartened that my pup was in such discomfort and a vet visit was required. This should never happen. It should be a pampering. Shortcuts and injuring dogs is absolutely unacceptable. Yes, I did bring all of this to the attention of not only the supposed groomer but also the manager. They offered to wash him again and trim his nails. I chose to not subject him to going back there due to too many concerns. I also canceled a future appointment with my other pup. I will find a safer groomer for my pups.

We have a 50 lb Pomsky and full of energy. They take good care of her and she always looks amazing when they're done with her.

Why choose us?

One groomer per pet

Your pet works with a single groomer from drop-off to pickup, never passed around or rushed, so the experience stays calm and consistent every visit.

Non-toxic products

Every shampoo and finishing product is non-toxic and matched to your pet's coat and skin, with no harsh chemicals and adjustments for allergies or sensitive skin.

We groom cats too

Cats are not small dogs, and we do not treat them that way. We book cats into quiet, low-traffic slots and use a private room when one does better away from the noise.

Request your groomer

Every groomer works out of this one salon, so you can ask for anyone by name and keep that pairing for good. A familiar groomer reads your pet better.

Self-wash stations

Raised tubs, warm water, professional shampoo, high-velocity dryers, towels, and brushes are ready for walk-ins. You wash and dry, and we handle the final cleanup.

FAQs

What areas do you serve?
Our salon is in Lone Tree, and we serve clients from Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Centennial, Littleton, Aurora, and Sedalia across Douglas County and the south Denver metro. There is one location, and pets come to us from across the Front Range.
What does grooming cost?
Full-Service Grooming starts at $75 and scales by size and coat, Bath and Brush starts at $45, cat grooming starts at $65, and self-wash stations are $22 per visit. The final price depends on coat condition, length, and temperament, which your groomer confirms once they see the coat up close.
Do I need an appointment?
Full grooms, bath and brush, and cat grooming are all by appointment, and booking ahead is how you keep the same groomer each time. The self-wash stations are walk-in during open hours, no appointment needed.
Are your products safe and non-toxic?
Yes. All shampoos and finishing products are non-toxic and matched to your pet's coat and skin, with no harsh chemicals. Creative-grooming color is pet-safe and semi-permanent. Tell your groomer about any allergies or sensitive skin at drop-off and we adjust accordingly.
Do you offer mobile grooming?
No, every groom happens here in the salon near Park Meadows. That is on purpose: the salon has the raised tubs, the high-velocity dryers, and a quiet room for nervous dogs and cats that no van has space for.
Can I request the same groomer every time?
Yes, and most regulars do. Every groomer works out of this one salon, so you can ask for anyone by name and keep that pairing going. A groomer who already knows your pet works faster and reads them better.
Will you shave my dog if the coat is matted?
Only when it is the kinder call, and we tell you which way we are leaning before we start. We work mats out when the coat can take it, but when a coat has pelted, clipping under it beats an hour of pulling on sore skin.
How can I get in touch?
Call us at (720) 541-6929, email barkymountain@gmail.com, or reach out through the contact page on our website. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and weekends from 9am to 5pm.
