Acoma Lock & Security is a locksmith and security company based in Palmer Lake, Colorado, that serves Castle Rock and the Front Range with on-site service at homes and businesses. We have served Castle Rock since 1937. As an authorized Medeco dealer, we install a range of security solutions, from Medeco high-security locks with patent-protected keys to electronic access control that keeps a log of every entry. Work covers commercial security, access control, residential security, safes, security camera systems (CCTV), and auto transponder keys. Commercial jobs run from simple rekeys to installing or replacing panic exit devices, and we have offered master key systems since the 1960s. Where is Acoma Lock & Security located?
We are based in Palmer Lake, Colorado, and serve the Front Range from Fort Collins to Trinidad. Our Castle Rock and Pueblo storefronts are closed, so every job is done on-site at your home or business.
What are your hours?
Our phones are answered Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, when we schedule and dispatch work. We are closed weekends.
Can you make and program a key for my car?
Yes. We cut and program automotive transponder keys for most makes and models. Availability depends on the vehicle, so please call us at (303) 688-4104 first.
I just moved into a house. Should I rekey the locks?
Yes, rekeying is the usual answer after a move. In most cases we rekey the locks you already have so old keys stop working, usually the same day. You only need new hardware if a lock is worn or damaged.
Do you handle commercial buildings?
Yes. The majority of our work is commercial, including electronic access control, cameras and recording, door hardware such as push bars for emergency exits, safes, and rekeying.
What is electronic access control and do you install it?
Yes. Instead of keys, people use a card, a fob, a PIN, or phone access to enter. You get a log of every entry and can remove someone's access in seconds. We handle the door readers, wiring, control panel, and software, with brands including Brivo, Alarm.com, HID Global, Allegion, Honeywell, and ASSA Abloy.
Do you sell safes?
Yes. We help you pick a fire and theft-rated safe for what you are storing, then install and anchor it. Brands include AMSEC, Liberty Safe, Fort Knox, SentrySafe, and Gardall, in home and commercial sizes.
