AAA Modern Air
AAA Modern Air is a family owned and operated air conditioning company founded in 1969 and based at 901 Phippen Waiters Rd in Dania Beach, serving Hollywood and the surrounding Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach communities. The company started out as a father and son team repairing central air conditioners, then expanded into the design and installation of air conditioning equipment and duct systems, and three generations later it is still the same family business. Evelyn and Sal DiFloria are pictured on the company history page as the first generation owners in the early 1970s. AAA Modern Air describes itself today as one of the largest installers of air conditioning equipment in South Florida, with more than 50,000 AC installations completed and a scope of operation that covers both the residential and commercial market. It runs a 30,000 square foot facility that houses a corporate office, parts room, equipment warehouse, repair shop, welding shop, freon recovery station, and a complete fiberglass and sheet metal fabrication shop, along with a fully stocked service fleet, so the parts and tools for most repairs are on hand. Cooling work covers AC repair, AC installation, system replacement, AC tune-ups and preventive maintenance, refrigerant leak detection, thermostat repair and replacement, compressor and motor repair, electrical component and wiring repairs, and evaporator and condenser coil cleaning. Duct work covers duct cleaning with a rotobrush air system and sanitizing, plus duct repair and new duct installation, and the company also offers indoor air quality solutions, air purification, air filters, and attic insulation. Technicians include NATE-certified pros and EPA-licensed experts, every technician goes through a background check before hire, and the team is regularly sent to manufacturer classes on smart controls and energy efficient systems. AAA Modern Air is a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer, a Rheem Pro Partner, a Bosch Service Partner, a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, and a BBB Accredited Business, and it was named a Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave in 2025. Estimates are free, the company applies a 100% satisfaction guarantee to all of its work, it is licensed and insured under CAC1818385 and CAC1813234, and a 24-hour emergency answering service takes calls outside office hours. A maintenance program covering two inspections and a full checklist runs $195 for one year per system, and financing is available online. AAA Modern Air holds a 4.8 rating across 1,841 Google reviews.
