Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. 2 Guys and a Van is fully licensed and insured with the state of Illinois under ILCC #161368.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free. Keep in mind that an estimate is not a binding fixed price, because Illinois law requires movers to charge for the actual time the crew spends working.
Is there a minimum charge for a move?
Yes. There is a two hour minimum charge for moving services. After that, additional time is billed in fifteen minute increments so you pay for the real time the crew is on the job.
How far in advance should I book my move?
We recommend contacting the team at least 30 days before your moving date. The first and last weeks of each month are the busiest, so early booking helps secure your slot. Shorter notice may still be possible if your date is flexible.
Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes, for many standard pieces that do not require special instructions or proprietary tools. Cribs are an exception: the crew will remove a crib but will not reassemble it.
Do you offer labor only help?
Yes. The crew can load or unload your rental truck, POD, U-Pack or ABF container, and can also handle intra building, same complex and in house moves such as rearranging furniture.
How is my furniture protected during the move?
Movers use high quality moving blankets and stretch wrap to protect furniture from scrapes and dirt, and they use tie downs to keep items stable in the truck.
