Founded in 2007, Ecoyards provides landscape design and installation services for residential properties throughout the Seattle area, including Mercer Island, Burien, SeaTac, Tukwila and Normandy Park. We are a small Seattle-based landscaping company dedicated to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, and we specialize in creating natural, environmentally friendly landscapes that are easy to maintain. Our work covers landscape design and construction, lawn and garden renovations, paver patios, walkways and driveways, retaining walls, custom cedar fencing, arbors and other hardscapes, along with sprinkler and drip irrigation systems that adapt to weather and soil conditions to conserve water. Our owner brings over 25 years of industry experience and is a Landscape Industry Certified Manager, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Certified Backflow Assembly Tester and US EPA WaterSense Partner. Ecoyards is a certified RainWise contractor through Seattle Public Utilities, holds the highest five-star EnviroStars certification, and backs its work with written warranties on plants, irrigation and hardscaping.

How long has Ecoyards been in business?

What services do you offer?
We handle landscape design and construction, lawn and garden renovations, paver patios, walkways and driveways, retaining walls, custom cedar fencing, arbors and other hardscapes, plus sprinkler and drip irrigation installation and maintenance.

Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Plants and trees we install are covered for one full year provided they are watered properly, irrigation work is guaranteed for one full year against material or workmanship defects, and patios, retaining walls and walkways are warrantied for two years against structural defects or installation issues. If something we installed is not functioning as intended, we will make it right.
What certifications does Ecoyards hold?
Our owner is a Landscape Industry Certified Manager, a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, a Certified Backflow Assembly Tester and a US EPA WaterSense Partner, and completed the King County Master Gardener program in 2008. Ecoyards holds the highest five-star EnviroStars certification, is a certified RainWise contractor, and is certified through the Techniseal Applicator Program for paver work.
Can you help with rain gardens or stormwater runoff?
Yes. As a certified RainWise contractor through Seattle Public Utilities we plant trees, reduce impermeable surfaces, disconnect downspouts, install cisterns, and build and maintain rain gardens. Residents living in certain neighborhoods of Ballard, north Union Bay, Windermere and Delridge are eligible for rebates covering most of the cost of installing a rain garden or cistern.
Do you install irrigation systems?
Yes. We design, install and maintain efficient sprinkler and drip systems for Seattle landscapes, using smart irrigation technology that adapts to weather and soil conditions to conserve water.
