We are Potomac Pool Service, a family-owned, local pool care company based in Chantilly, Virginia. Jonathan and Melanie Broga founded our company in 2003 with a simple mission: to bring professionalism and personal attention to residential pool care. That focus still guides everything we do today. We offer a full range of seasonal and year-round pool services. Our weekly and bi-weekly maintenance packages keep your water clean, clear, and properly balanced, and we handle spring openings, fall winterizations, and winter inspections so your pool is ready whenever you want to use it. Beyond routine care, we provide pool and deck renovations, drain and acid wash services, safety cover sales and installation, and unbiased real estate inspections for buyers and sellers. We serve homeowners across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Whether you want a turnkey service where we manage every chemical and cleaning task for you, or a collaborative arrangement where responsibilities are shared, we have a package that fits how you like to care for your pool. What sets us apart is our attention to the details that protect your investment. We keep a close eye on water chemistry, catch small issues before they become expensive repairs, and communicate clearly about what your pool needs. Our Presidential Client Guarantee means you can hand off the chemicals, equipment, and maintenance entirely to us. If you are looking for a dependable partner to keep your pool healthy season after season, we would be glad to help. Reach out and we will put together the right plan for your backyard.

FAQs

What areas do you serve?
We serve residential pool owners across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Our office is located in Chantilly, Virginia.
What services do you offer?
We provide weekly and bi-weekly maintenance packages, spring openings, fall winterizations, winter inspections, pool and spa drain and clean, renovations, safety cover sales and installation, and real estate inspections.
What does pricing look like?
Our packages start at $1,340 for the Congressional package, which covers a spring opening and fall winterization. Weekly visits with chemical treatment start at $175. We will provide a transparent quote after reviewing the details of your pool and the level of service you want.
When should I open my pool?
Most clients open their pools during the first two weeks of May to be ready for Memorial Day weekend. Some open in early March simply because they enjoy looking at the pool and it puts them in a summer frame of mind.
When should I close my pool?
Our busiest closing period runs from the last half of September through the first half of October. As long as the pool is closed before the first hard freeze, the timing can be set to fit your schedule.
What is your Presidential Client Guarantee?
With our Presidential Client Guarantee, you are free from handling chemicals or organic waste, buying or using cleaning equipment, vacuuming, backwashing, brushing tile, priming the pump, taking chemical readings, or storing chemicals. We handle all of it for you.
Does a pool that smells like chlorine have too much chlorine?
Actually, it is chloramines that smell, meaning chlorine that has already been spent burning up contaminants. A pool that smells strongly of chlorine probably does not have enough chlorine, which is one reason we keep a close eye on water chemistry.
