What do your moves cost?
Monday through Thursday the rate is $115 per hour for two movers and a 26 foot long truck. Friday and Sunday are $125 per hour and Saturday is $135 per hour. A third mover can be added for $50 per hour, and there is a one-time fuel trip fee of $80 to cover fuel and supplies.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. An in-home estimate is not required, because a Movers of Houston agent makes an over the phone survey of your items to determine approximately how much the move will cost. There is no charge for the estimate.
Are you licensed and insured?

How is my time billed?
There is a two hour minimum and time is charged in 15 minute increments after the first two hours, with no rounding up to the next hour. The clock starts when the crew arrives at your home and ends when the delivery is finished. If your move is more than 15 miles from the shop, drive time is charged.
What happens if something breaks?
Standard liability automatically covers all moves at $0.60 per pound per article, at no cost to the customer, and covers the cost to repair rather than replace an item. Higher liability than the standard valuation is available for an additional charge. Pre-packed boxes cannot be claimed unless there is obvious mishandling.
Do you offer flat rate moves?
No. Movers of Houston charges on an hourly basis rather than a flat rate, because flat rates usually create miscommunication about items not listed on the original shipping list, which can cause additional charges during the move.

Is there anything you will not move?
Yes. Movers of Houston is unable to move grand pianos, motorcycles, firearms, jewelry or medications, and does not move flammable, caustic or toxic items. Lawnmowers and weed-eaters must be drained before moving, and gas appliances need to be disconnected before your move.
