FAQs
What services do you offer?
West University Wellness offers several chiropractic techniques, acupuncture, massage therapy, therapeutic modalities and exercise rehabilitation, along with pregnancy, pediatric, post-partum and nutritional care.
Are your doctors Webster certified?
Yes. All of the Doctors of Chiropractic here are Webster certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and each has taken over 300 hours of additional coursework, training and research through the ICPA to obtain certification from the American Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics.
Can children be adjusted here?
Yes. The practice has done adjustments for babies as new as a few hours old, and can help with colic, ear infections, acid reflux, feeding issues, tension and stiffness, and plagiocephaly.
How long will my new patient appointment take?
New patient appointments last anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes and include new patient forms, a review of your medical history and symptoms, range of motion, orthopedic and neurological testing, thermal imaging and a static electromyogram.
How much does a new patient appointment cost if I am paying cash?
Depending on what you are seeing the office for and the services you receive, the estimated cost for a new patient exam, adjustment and therapies could range from $160 to $200. A second appointment could range from $90 to $125, and follow-up appointments from $50 to $90.
Do you take my insurance?
As of January 2019 the office is only in network with Medicare. Some insurances cover a portion of massage, so you can ask your insurance company how they cover massage with out of network providers.
What do you use acupuncture for?
Acupuncture is used for a variety of symptoms, ranging from headaches to acute injuries such as ankle sprains.
Should I get adjusted before or after my massage?
Ideally the adjustment comes after the massage or exercises, because massage and exercise help warm up your muscles and relieve built up tension, which makes the adjustment easier.
