Garvin's Plumbing and Sewer runs its north metro operation from 7050 W 120th Ave. Suite 50B in Broomfield, CO, and describes itself in Broomfield as a resource for both residential and commercial plumbing needs. The company began as Garvin's Sewer Service in 1940, which it states made it Denver's first professional drain-cleaning company. It was founded by Russell P. Garvin, passed to his great-nephew Kenneth Aston in 1992, and Kenneth's three daughters now run the day-to-day operations, making it a third-generation company. Over 80 years it has grown from those drain-cleaning roots into full-service plumbing. About a third of the business is still basic drain cleaning and sewer service, and the company also employs half a dozen service plumbers who replace faucets, repair leaks, handle winterization, repair and replace water heaters, work on boilers, install gas lines and take on other skilled work. Garvin's spent several decades in the Golden Triangle district of Denver before expanding in 2001 to an Englewood warehouse and office, and today it lists over 30 staff serving the greater Denver area, including most areas within a one-hour drive of Denver. The Broomfield plumbing menu covers water heaters, tankless water heaters, plumbing repair, leak detection, kitchen plumbing, bathroom plumbing, whole-home repiping, commercial plumbing and gas line work. The drain side covers drain cleaning, camera inspections, hydrojetting, sewer line cleaning, and sump and ejector pumps, with camera inspections used to identify problems accurately and hydro jetting used to clear stubborn clogs and restore optimal function to sewer lines. The excavation side handles sewer line repair, water line repair and trenchless repair, which the company presents as a way to fix pipe without extensive digging so your landscape is preserved and the repair moves faster. Garvin's publishes a detailed declaration of service: the dispatcher quotes prices over the phone and gives an estimated arrival time that is usually within two hours of your call, or a two-hour appointment window. Technicians arrive in a Garvin's uniform with a logo patch and name badge, will use an alternate entrance or protective foot coverings on request, lay protective mats, and run a system check at the end of the job by running water and appliances to confirm everything drains properly. There is a discount for cleaning multiple lines at the time of the original service call, and the company states it trains drain cleaners, not salespeople. Employees are covered by Worker's Compensation Insurance, liability insurance covers employees and customers, all servicemen are apprentice plumbers, and the company states it has uniform pricing and honors its warranty period. Payment is by check, credit card or cash at the time of service, and financing through Wisetack is offered so Broomfield customers can explore monthly payment options on qualifying plumbing services such as sewer line repair, water heater replacement and whole-home repiping. Posted coupons include free estimates on a plumbing service call, a free second diagnosis on a sewer camera inspection, $100 off water heater installation, $25 off garbage disposal installation and 10% off a first sewer cleaning, each with its own restrictions. The company's Colorado PC number is #PC.0003967, and it states that over 80% of its business is repeat business and referrals.
