Prime Dentistry of Northeast Philadelphia is a family-owned dental practice that has served the community from 6818 Castor Avenue since 1976. Led by Dr. Pathik Shah, the team includes general dentists, specialists and surgeons who handle routine cleanings and digital x-rays through to dental implants, root canals, Invisalign, dentures and cosmetic treatment, all under one roof. Room is kept in the schedule for same-day emergency appointments covering toothaches, broken teeth, extractions and abscesses. What dental insurance do you accept?
We accept most PPO dental insurance plans. We do not accept Keystone First, Health Partners, or other Medicaid and HMO plans. Our staff will verify your coverage and explain your benefits before treatment begins.
Can I be seen if I do not have dental insurance?
Yes. We offer an in-house dental savings plan that gives members 20% off all our dental services for a nominal monthly or annual fee, plus special new patient offers and monthly payment plans through third party financing.
Do you see dental emergencies the same day?
Yes. We keep availability in our schedule to treat urgent issues the same day, including root canals, tooth extractions, broken teeth and abscesses. Both new and existing patients can be seen.
What are your office hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday until 7:00 PM and Friday until 4:00 PM. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday. Call (215) 742-1200 to check the current schedule.
Do you treat children?
Yes. We provide pediatric and family dental care, including preventive services, dental sealants and gentle treatment for children of all ages.
Are sedation options available if I am nervous?
Yes. We offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation to help patients with dental anxiety feel more comfortable, and we explain every step of treatment in advance.
Do you place dental implants in your own office?
Yes. Our implant dentists place implants right here in the office using advanced 3D imaging, and we also offer PRF bone grafting to support implant placement and recovery.
